Pray for Obama

“Dearly beloved, I believe we need to take a pause from criticizing this President and instead pray for him.  We are told in Scripture that we are to pray for our leaders, yes Brothers and Sisters it is true.  But, we must pray with discernment.

God has in mind a certain destiny, and it is a very specific prayer he has laid on me, children of God.  It is that of Psalm 108.9, hallelujah!   Turn with me in your Bibles to that verse and we will read and contemplate it together one and all, would you please?  Yes, here it is, beginning with the eighth verse, we read:

Psalm 109:8 ~
“Let his days be few and brief;

And let others step forward to replace him.”

Oh, Glory be to God and the blessed land of the fruited plain and the amber waves of grain – ripe for the harvest.

Well, that’s it friends – and so concludes ‘The Bible Hour’, brought to you each week, by the fervent supplications and the faithful giving of all our listeners out there in Radio land.  This is the Reverend Curtis Springer, coming to you from the land where there is no more weeping or sorrow – Good night, my friends, and God Bless you richly.”
