The Hills Have Eyes

This is the latest optic technology for Predator Drones.

Would you have been suspicious if during your good old school days, you had found out that a teacher had given a straight A report card to a particular student for straight F work?  Pardon my disapproval of the lamestream media for handing out going Secretary of State Hillary Clinton top marks for her abysmal performance of the job.  It’s rather common these days, though.  They’re handing out top marks for failure all over the place; Obama, Feinstein, Governor Jerry Brown, the California State Legislature, New York Governor Cuomo, Eric Holder, Timothy Geithner – look in any direction.

Hillary earnestly anticipates that the American people will finally give her the promotion to the job she believes she deserves four years from now.  She’s hoping that the ‘glass ceiling’ is made of tempered glass, so that when she shatters it, no shards will fall on her and spoil her coronation.  I think her greatest hope is that she and her allies can blow enough smoke around to successfully obfuscate her leading role in the treasonous ‘B’ movie  known as Benghazi.

Part of the strategy, and one that Hill and Bill have both mastered to an art form, is a pseudo acceptance of responsibility without actually taking blame for anything.  It’s a distinction with a perverse difference.  Barack Obama has learned this technique as well and his entire administration hardily avails themselves of it in application to various and divers circumstances in which they get caught with their pants down.  That’s Plan A in the Obama White House playbook and there is no Plan B.  They don’t need one.

Hillary entertained an interview by the Associated Press this week at her outer office on the 7th Floor of the State Department just a day before she tapes the last box shut and shuffles off to private life.  In the interview, the familiar tactics of portraying herself as the unfortunate bystander of events beyond her control, was coupled with the intimation that she is a fully competent leader with a successful tenure at State, under her belt.   This is a dichotomy and a duplicitous posture that no mere plebe could execute, but when you know that you have a nest of vermin posing as journalists diligently sweeping the dirt under the rug for you, it’s very confidence inspiring.

Here’s part of the shtick Hillary trotted out in the ‘interview’ – particularly in response to lawmakers having the unmitigated gall to question her leadership during the crisis in Libya:

“I was so unhappy with the way that some people refused to accept the facts, refused to accept the findings of an independent Accountability Review Board, politicized everything about this terrible attack,” she said.  “My job is to admit that we have to make improvements and we’re going to.”

What are these facts we are refusing to accept Hillary?  Is it not a fact that you ignored calls for reinforcement of security in Benghazi? Is it not a fact that you sat on your hands while the Security Compound was under siege and exercised no role, leading or otherwise in calling for swift deployment of readily available assistance?

Your job ‘is to admit that we have to make improvements’?  Is that the extent of your job?  Whose job was it to pro-actively make certain that the diplomatic staff was not unduly exposed to danger from terrorist elements, if not yours?  What were you doing at the time that was more important than the most basic of responsibilities?  How is it that you think it is acceptable to neglect your duty and then make empty promises after Americans die in a shameful, needless and brutal manner?

Wasn’t your real job actually to take the hit for the Commander In Thief?  In that, you succeeded admirably.  Or maybe not.  Even 62 percent of Huffington Post readers disapprove of Obama’s handling of Benghazi!  So many unanswered questions, so many useless hacks pretending to practice the profession of journalism.

CBS WNEW TV in Washington D.C., reports that an independent panel she convened to look into the incident was scathing in its criticism of the State Department and singled out four officials for serious management and leadership failures.  But it also determined that there was no guarantee that extra personnel could have prevented the deaths of the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three other Americans.  Clinton herself was not blamed, although she has said she accepted responsibility for the situation.

How convenient that this ‘independent’ panel deemed Hillary not culpable for the outcome, but she ‘accepted responsibility for the situation’.  I don’t know about you, but I feel like this kind of nonsense we’ve come to expect from the den of vipers in our nation’s capitol, makes a rational person feel like their mind has just been subject to a forcible assault.

The panel ‘also determined that there was no guarantee that extra personnel could have prevented the deaths’?  Excuse me for seeing the glass half empty, but aside from ‘guarantees’, isn’t it quite a bit more likely the outcome would have been different if the cavalry had been sent in?  Welcome to the world of the beard scratchers inside the Beltway, to whom anything that resembles clear and unambiguous truth is an affront to ‘objectivity’.  Moral uncertainty is a cardinal virtue with these cowards.

Whatever Hillary cynically places on the table as a mea culpa, she makes certain to destroy all traces of,  in no more than the blink of an eye.  Once again, Hillary’s failures are not genuine according to her lights, but rather they are merely an artifact of partisan political attacks.   You know, the good ol’ Right Wing Conspiracy kicking mud on our good girl’s White pantaloons.  “Bill, do these pants make my bottom look foggy?”

“There are some people in politics and in the press who can’t be confused by the facts,” she said. “They just will not live in an evidence-based world. And that’s regrettable.  It’s regrettable for our political system and for the people who serve our government in very dangerous, difficult circumstances.”

I’m still left wondering what set of facts exist that have not yet emerged that demonstrate that Hillary Clinton exhibited stellar and most admirable leadership in the execution of her duties – or lack thereof.  One thing we don’t have to wonder about.  As much as Ms.Clinton demurs with affected modesty about her plans for 2016, you can be assured that after she sleeps in a few mornings and takes a few promotional sniffs of the roses, she will be busy engaging the machinery of her next quest for the highest office in the land.

Part of her team is already at work.  Those would be her fawning sycophants in the socialist fascist media.
