Obama Vs. Obama

Here’s an example (out of many) of Obama campaigning against Bush administration policies – but in reality, indicting his own Imperial Presidency and his regime’s apparatus and practices.   The hypocrisy is staggering.

In the video, as you will note – Candidate Obama pledges to give intelligence and law enforcement agencies the tools they need to track and take out the terrorists without undermining our Constitution and our freedom.  What does that mean?  Candidate Obama answers, “that means no illegal wiretapping of American citizens”.  But under an Obama Presidency, that actually means MORE illegal wiretapping of American citizens.  He may presume he’s not acting with duplicity, in that he will assert that the wiretapping of American citizens is perfectly legal.  So, I’m sure did Bush as well.

The Obama Justice Department has found a corrupt FISA Court Judge (Roger Vinson) to rubber stamp the approval of the government agency’s “top secret” request ordering Verizon on an “ongoing daily basis” to give the NSA telephone records for all its customers’ phone calls “between the United States and abroad,” as well as those made within the United States.

This is not without repercussions politically or legally.  A Verizon subscriber and noted opponent of government abuse of authority, Larry Klayman, President of Judicial Watch, is suing  Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, the U.S. Justice Department, Director Keith B. Alexander of the NSA, the NSA, Verizon and the federal judge who signed and issued the illegal warrant, Roger Vinson.  In the video Candidate Obama goes on to further condemn his presidency:

“…no more National Security Letters to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime; (no more) tracking of citizens who do nothing more than protest a misguided war, no more ignoring the law when it is inconvenient; that’s not who we are.”

Who are you then, Mr. Obama, if not what you described in this speech?  You have made, in this campaign pitch from December 2007, a virtual prosecutor’s closing argument to the jury, outlining the crimes against Americans and the violation of your Oath of office that you have committed.  As Mr. Klayman says in his press release on the Verizon phone records lawsuit:

“Here, there is no doubt that this massive illegal seizure had to be authorized and approved at the highest levels of the executive branch, which necessarily leads to the president, attorney general and the director of the NSA. These violations of free speech, prohibitions against unreasonable search and seizure, and due process rights are unprecedented in American history. They make the fictional scenarios depicted in the literary works of George Orwell’s ‘Big Brother’ and Ayn Rand’s ‘Atlas Shrugged’ look tame, particularly when coupled with other burgeoning government scandals concerning the IRS, the equally illegal seizure of phone records of Fox News and AP, and other abuses of power.”

In the case of Barack Hussein Soetero Soebarkah Obama we have an individual who as President, has repudiated every promise of openess, transparency, respect for constitutional rights and reforms that Candidate Obama made.

That is who he is.
